Man, let me tell you what weather awaits us on July 1! I don't know what we did to get nature cursing us, but we've got it all: heatwave in the north, with 37 degrees in the shade, and violent storms in the south and center, with hail the size of walnuts and gales that'll blow your roof off. ANM has already issued an orange heat code for Cluj and a yellow instability code for the mountain area. So, bro, if you're around Cluj, you'll be melting at 34 degrees during the day and at night you'll be lying with your belly to the fan, because even the low is 19 degrees. And in Bucharest, the weather goes bad in the afternoon: black clouds, torrential downpours, lightning, and wind at 50 km/h. The high is around 30 degrees, but it feels like a sauna. I think Mioara is going to make me bring the clothes in from the balcony faster than she's ever made me bring in the sarmale.
Now listen up, because the even worse part is the forecast for the next month, until July 27. ANM says it's going to be hot and dry in most of the country. In the week of June 29 - July 6, all of Romania is burning, especially the north and northeast. Only in the west and south do they get a few rain showers, but it's useless. Then, between July 6 and 13, temperatures return to normal, but the rains disappear completely, especially in the intracarpathian areas - that is, exactly where I live, in Berceni, I don't know if we'll catch a drop of water. After July 13, we heat up again, temperatures jump above average across the country, and rains are like a memory. The last week, July 20-27, is a general heatwave, with the highest values in the west and center, and precipitation below normal. Basically, we're drying up like dill in the sun.
Meteorologists advise us to be cautious, not to go out in the afternoon storms, and to protect ourselves from the heat. Well, bro, what can you do? Stay in the shade, drink water, and run to Lidl for fans, because Mioara said she can't take it anymore. But in the meantime, I'm looking at the forecast and thinking: what if the hail hits my 2008 BMW? Damn it, I've got payments to Relu to make. Well, that's it, we manage as best we can, because we Romanians are treasures: we complain about the weather, but we still go out on the terrace for a cold beer. Cheers and let's take care of our heads!
