Man, bro, what do you know! If until now you were charging your electric car from the outlet in the block and stealing current from Uncle Gheorghe on the 4th floor, now salvation is here! Dedeman and PPC Blue Romania have shaken hands to install nearly 600 charging points right in the parking lots of stores and logistics centers. And it's no joke, because the investment is over 30 megawatts - that's enough to keep all of Berceni plugged in, if you ask me.

They say they start in December 2026 in Câmpulung Moldovenesc, Roman, Alexandria, Târgu Jiu, and Onești. Well, that's super cool! In Târgu Jiu, where mining is dying and people keep wondering why it gets dark in winter, now you can charge your car at Dedeman while you buy a ladle and a bucket of washable paint. And in Onești, Bacău County, where the diaspora leaves us with kids on the streets and everyone hopes to make a buck abroad, at least they won't have to queue for charging.

Andreea-Dana Popescu, the head of PPC Blue, says they want to make charging as simple as a visit to the store. Well, that's what I call a statement! When I go to Dedeman to buy a screwdriver and a tile, I come back with half the store. Now if I also plug in the car, I'll end up with an electricity bill as high as a month's rent. But hey, electric mobility, bro, that's the trend.

Dragoș Pavăl, the boss of Dedeman, says they want to create a "useful ecosystem." Well, let it be! Now if Brian comes with his electric scooter, at least he'll have somewhere to charge when he comes with me for materials. You should see his face when I tell him you can also charge at the store. "Dad, cool, Relu's car charges too?" - but Relu has an Audi, he queues for gas, not electric.

PPC Blue says they already have over 1,100 charging points in all counties. Now these guys add 600 right at Dedeman. It's clear: if we don't have proper highways, at least we'll have charging stations on every corner. What can I say, I'm glad that something is happening in Târgu Jiu and Alexandria too. Now let's see when the first station breaks down and how long it takes for a service guy to come fix it... until then, we'll charge at Mioara's outlet at Lidl.
