Boss, sit down, because I've got news that left me speechless. Oliver Tree, that guy with the bowl haircut we all laughed at on TikTok, died Sunday morning in a helicopter crash in Rio de Janeiro. 32 years old, bro. The man had over 11 million monthly listeners on Spotify, hits with hundreds of millions of views, and he was supposed to come to Bucharest on September 21! Now, nobody's coming.

Listen to how it went down. Two helicopters collided mid-air over a suburb of Rio, in Recreio dos Bandeirantes. One of them was Oliver Tree's. They crashed right into the parking lot of a car dealership and caught fire – about 20 electric cars burned, man! All six people from both helicopters died. Rio firefighters confirmed: no survivors. The investigation is ongoing, but the cause hardly matters now, because the dead aren't coming back.

Oliver Tree was in Brazil on a world tour – over 70 concerts in 30 countries, across seven continents. With him were a Brazilian producer, an Argentine director, and YouTuber Gaspar Prim, known as Gaspi. The other helicopter had only the pilot. All gone. And think about this: on Saturday, the day before, he posted a video on Instagram playing football in a Brazilian neighborhood. He looked happy, life seemed beautiful. The next day, done.

The artist was known for his eccentric online persona and hits like 'Life Goes On', 'Miss You', and 'Alien Boy' – his songs have racked up over 700 million streams on Spotify alone. In 2024, he was nominated for a Brit Award alongside Robin Schulz for 'Miss You', which reached number 3 on the UK singles chart. Now, he's no more. Seriously, bro, life is short. I personally find it incredible how a man who brought so much energy and craziness on stage can just disappear like that, in an instant.

And the part that pisses me off the most: the Bucharest concert was scheduled for September 21, after the release of his fourth album, 'Love You Madly, Hate You Badly'. Tickets were probably already on sale, people were waiting. Now, fans are left with memories and a bitter taste. What can you do? That's what happens when you die before you get to play in Romania. I mean, it's not like we've been lucky with international artists – they come, cancel, die. That's why I say: let's enjoy what we have today, because tomorrow there might be nobody left.

Alright, I'm going to put on a song by Oliver Tree for Brian, so he can see what real music is. And you, if you were a fan, listen to him one more time. Because after that, there's no more.
