Yo, grab a coffee and sit down, 'cause I've got news that'll make you realize football moves are just like us swapping cars in the hood! Elias Charalambous, the guy who made us champions twice at FCSB, hasn't coached since he left in March, but the man ain't sitting idle. Now they've invited him to give a lecture at a coaching conference in Cyprus, on June 13, in Lefkara.
And it's not just any conference, but one with a fancy name: 'Future Coaching: From Grassroots to Senior Level'. That means from kids to seniors, teaching everyone how it's done. The organizers are the Cyprus Coaches Association, who want to develop football at all levels.
And he's not coming alone, bro! Alongside him, Greek Christos Kontis, coach of OFI Crete, who won the Greek Cup this year, will also speak. Now, let's be real: Elias left FCSB after we didn't make the play-offs, and he turned down a return after Mirel Rădoi left.
He says he hasn't found a team yet, but don't worry, we'll see him on someone's bench soon. Until then, he's off to teach at coaching school. Good for him!
At least he's doing something, unlike others who just sit and complain. And just like that, a Cypriot is teaching us Romanians how to do football. But let's be serious: Gică Hagi could give them lessons too, but he's busy with his Academy.
Anyway, I say Elias is a good coach, even if he didn't want to stay at FCSB. Maybe we'll snag a spot at the conference, God willing. Alright, I'm off to call Fane to see if we can catch a game at the terrace between conferences!
