Bro, sit down 'cause I'm about to knock you out! I just found out what went down at this Baccalaureate Physics exam on July 2nd. Teachers say the subjects were manageable, but they still slipped in a trap exercise on electricity that left many with their jaws on the floor. Reminds me of when I tried to change a lightbulb at Mioara's and short-circuited the whole building - that kind of mess, bro!

Listen up: Teacher Carmen Hîrnea told 'Adevărul' that the difficulty level is like last year, and those who prepped shouldn't have issues. At the technological track, the questions were easier, obviously, 'cause that's a different ballgame. 'For students who worked hard during the year to solve sample subjects, there shouldn't be any problems,' she said. Good for them, but I say if you didn't open your notebook until that night, now you're crying over your results.

And here's the trap: at the last subpoint of the electricity section, where you had to understand the physical phenomena more deeply. 'It was a trap exercise that gave them more trouble... some didn't catch on,' the teacher detailed. Just like when I try to explain to Brian how the car works, and he says 'yeah, dad, I know,' but actually has no clue. The teacher is optimistic though: 'Among my students, they all expect grades above 8, that's why I think it was an exam any student could pass with minimal effort.' Easy to say when you're the teacher.

For most, the written exams ended Thursday. Only national minorities have Friday, July 3rd, the exam in their mother tongue. I wonder what the Hungarians in Sălaj are up to, where young people flee to the West - maybe they learn physics better than Romanian, who knows?

Initial results are posted Tuesday, July 7th, by 12:00. Then, between 14:00 and 18:00, the window opens for viewing the papers and filing appeals, a process that continues on July 8th and 9th. Viewing is strictly informational, and minors must come with a parent. So Mioara will have to take time off from Lidl to accompany Brian, if he even gets to see any paper. Appeals are resolved on July 9-10, and finals on July 13th. Results are anonymized with codes - as if everyone doesn't know by the grade who the class idiot is.

To be declared 'passed,' you must take all competency exams, get at least 5 on each written exam, and have a general average of 6. If not, there's the second session in July-August. The Ministry also set up a TOLL-FREE line 0800801100 for reporting dysfunctions, active between 8 and 16 on exam days, except Friday, July 3rd, when it's between 8 and 14. As if the call center guy will do anything - he'll probably tell you to fill out a form and wait 30 days.

Anyway, I'm off to ask Brian what he did on the physics exam, 'cause if he gets below 8, I'm cutting his phone data for a month. That's how you learn, bro!
